The University of Utah’s Powder Metallurgy Research Lab (PM Lab) has recently installed the Hammer Lab35 3D printing solution, marking a significant milestone in its pursuit of developing advanced materials. The PM Lab which specializes in creating metal and ceramic powders, has a strong focus on Titanium extraction and sintering technologies.
The Incus 3D printing solution is set to enhance the lab’s research into advanced materials, enabling further development of sinter-based AM processes. With this partnership, the PM Lab aims to commercialize its R&D activities, including powder production, part production, and sintering consulting.
The comprehensive Incus LMM technology will enable the PM Lab to oversee the entire sinter-based AM workflow, from powder production to debinding, sintering, and recycling. This collaboration signifies a major step in advancing sinter-based AM research, with potential long-term impacts on industries requiring advanced material solutions.
This is the first Incus machine accessible in US.
